Null Infinity2026
This exhibition brings together two recent series of work in which images are suspended in states of emergence. As procedure without function and motion without progression, the works look at the image as temporary positions within a passage from experience to representation.
Interrogations consists of text fragments generated by a tool for reverse-engineering prompts. These texts are not descriptions, but instructions to produce similar images via generative text-to-image models. Diverted from their procedural role and cast as small resin objects, the prompts continue to operate, conjuring images in a mind's eye rather than a machine's.
In Water Bodies, short looping videos suspend the ocean between stillness and motion. Waves repeat without progressing, held in tightly framed loops, compressing the infinite novelty of ocean waves into endlessly repeating patterns.
